Nasty stuff
developing over the Kaweahs on the afternoon of our Whitney
climb. Less than an hour later the whole region was hit hard
with thunder and lightning. Thanks to a way early start we were
no longer scrambling around at altitude, but sitting in our
tents at Crabtree.
