| Hidden
in the shade across the canyon from Solar Slab, is a diminutive
varnished wall split by a fingercrack. It is guarded by
an improbable approach and general lack of attention,
yet the route is rather good and as a whole the outing
is a great half day adventure away from crowds and noise. |

final part of the interesting approach goes up a large sweeping

McMuffin is a good, worthwhile route with full value for the
rating. It is a steep finger crack with lots of faceholds to
keep the grade at 5.7, but lack of traffic makes some of these
a little suspect. |

the wash of Oak Creek Canyon far below. A low stress descent
down the west side of the formation takes you back to the base
in 10 minutes. |

At
this spot in Oak Creek Canyon, upstream from the route, is the
start of the approach scramble. Some recent trail work and cairn
building make it simple to follow an otherwise complicated route.
Many thanks to whoever did the grunt labor! |
