The start of Dark Shadows climbs a slippery water polished slab
right out of the creek bed.

 

Up higher is a short, stout corner, before stepping left to a huge ledge below the awesome 5.7 corner seen leading up to the overhangs in the this picture.

The main reason for doing Dark Shadows is the long, sustained 3rd pitch. Surreal rock with massive jugs and mirror smooth desert varnish adds to the attraction.
One of the finest moderate pitches in Pine Creek.
